Initiative 25-01: Lower Main Street Traffic Calming
We're working with the Town of South Berwick and MaineDOT to calm traffic and improve safety on Lower Main Street through permanent infrastructure upgrades that support a more walkable, welcoming downtown.
Wicks Collective is collaborating with the Town of South Berwick and the Maine Department of Transportation to deliver permanent traffic calming improvements along Lower Main Street. These upgrades - such as curb extensions, lane narrowing, chicanes, and high-visibility crosswalks - are designed to slow traffic, improve pedestrian safety, and create a more welcoming, walkable downtown. This collaboration reflects our commitment to building infrastructure that supports local life and encourages people to stop, stay, and connect in the heart of South Berwick.
